The end product goes to our customer in a natural timber look. All timber gates are fully pressure treated,(except hardwood) clear in colour, which protects the timber against rot and insect attack.

However, it is necessary that a high quality woodstain ( not clearing in colour) be applied immediately by the customer, e.g. Bondex, before exposure to the elements, as this will prevent the timber from weathering and discolouring. In addition the woodstain acts as a water repellent.
