GATE WIDTHS All widths referred to are the actual finished width of the gates. CLEARANCE IN HEIGHT The clearance from the top of the gate, to the underneath of the capping and the clearance from the bottom of the gate, to the ground are not included in the actual finished gate heights in the brochure. Note: The minimum clearance in height, we recommend, both above and below, is 38mm i.e. total 76mm EXAMPLE Using a 1.800m high gate and your pier has a capping. The minimum height required from the ground to underneath the capping is 1.875m. CLEARANCE IN WIDTH The clearance from the gates to the piers, to allow for hangers and hinges and the clearance, or gap, to be left between the gates, when closed, are not included in the finished gate widths in the brochure. Note:
The clearance in width will depend on the hanging accessories used. Gates and doors should be restained on a regular basis and we recommend application every year.
